How far in advance do I need to book my cake?
My policy is never to over book my work. This way I can offer you my personal attention that your wedding cake deserves. I therefore work on a first come basis, so booking well in advance is advised.

Consultation
The perfect way to design a wedding cake just for you is with a pre-booked, no obligation design consultation. We would discuss your wedding, your ideas, your tastes and preferences, looking through any pictures you may have collected along with perhaps your fabric samples, to enable us to create the perfect design for your special day. We could also design the cake around your wedding dress if you would like. There is always chocolate cake on offer too.

What flavours do you offer?
All of our cakes are made with the finest ingredients which include real butter, free range eggs, fair-trade chocolate and fair-trade icing sugar. Our cakes are baked on the week required so to be as fresh as possible, we do not bake in advance and freeze as we feel this does not constitute as a fresh cake.

Choose from:
Rich matured fruit cake covered with a layer of marzipan
Moist carrot cake filled with a layer of orange butter cream
Lemon sponge filled with lemon curd butter cream
Vanilla sponge cake filled with vanilla butter cream and raspberry conserve
Chocolate cake filled with rich chocolate butter cream
Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and morello cherry conserve

I have a nut allergy; can you cater for my requirements?
I am afraid not. I cannot guarantee any of my cakes do not contain nuts as I use products containing nuts in my kitchen. I am afraid I do not cater for any special dietary requirements but I am happy to recommend someone who does.

My mother baked my cake, can you decorate it for me?
I am afraid I do not decorate anyone else’s cakes but my own. The main reason for this is from a Health and Safety perspective. Whilst I am sure the cake is delicious, I cannot guarantee to you or your guests what it contains or prove where the ingredients were sourced. Should there be any problems with the cake it could pose a risk to my reputation and that of my business.

Can I have fresh flowers to decorate my cake?
If your wedding cake is to be decorated with fresh flowers, it is best for your florist to supply these, as this allows for continuity. I can liaise directly with your florist regarding the floral decorations required for your cake during the weeks before your wedding, so please do ensure you have ordered these beforehand. I can arrange/attach pre-made flower sprays to your cake on delivery.
NB:  Please note that some flowers are not suitable for use as a cake decoration. Ask your florist for details and advice on the toxicity. I cannot be liable for any contamination to our wedding cakes that may arise from their misuse.

Can I have a cake sample?
Cake samples are available during design consultations. If you would like a sample slice sent to you please do get in touch, I normally charge £5.00 for this service. This will be deducted from the price of your cake if you decide to place an order with us.

Do you deliver the cake?
I am able to offer local delivery (within 20 miles of Aylesbury) & setting up of your wedding cake to your reception venue if required. (Please see our ‘prices’ page for further info) If you require delivery to a venue further away, please do get in touch for a quote.

Your wedding cake may also be collected from me the day prior or the morning of your wedding. If the cake is collected we will not be liable for any damage to the cake once it has left our kitchen.
